Tuesday, September 6, 2005, we held a super launch party for the birth of the Crime Wave's first publishing project. The affair, held at that stellar mystery bookstore, ONCE UPON A CRIME, and attended by hundreds of fans, was a rousing success. The successful launch party was due largely to the outstanding efforts of Gary and Pat who own and run the store, Sobas which provided some great crudités, a fine Minnesota publisher, Nodin Press, owned by Norton Stillman, and fourteen phenomenal authors who contributed the stories and the introduction. Here are a few pictures from the launch party for The Silence of the Loons.
Back row: R.D. Zimmerman, Lori Lake, K.J. Erickson, Norton Stillman, Ellen Hart, M.D. Lake, Pat Dennis. Front: Carl Brookins, David Houseright, Kent Krueger, Mary Logue, Monica Ferris.
